Experience since 1939!

Evans Heat Treating originally started as the Drever Heat Treating Company in 1939, which was an offshoot of the Drever Furnace Company. The Drever company opened a new location down in Baltimore called Drever Heat Treating Baltimore Division. When the time came for Drever to cease operations in 1991, the company was put up for sale, and some of the employees expressed an interest in purchasing it. Ultimately it was purchased by two employees: Lee Evans & Bill Burnick. Both locations were sold separately with us becoming Evans Heat Treating and the other location becoming Baltimore Heat Treat.

Heat treating representatives are available for consultation on your particular project whether for one piece or for production run quantities. A well equipped Metallurgical Laboratory is available for experimental or analytical research, production, and quality control.

In its long history, Evans Heat Treating has provided heat treating services to the automotive, fastener, aerospace, nuclear, and general tool & die business sectors both locally and nationally.

Evans is a full service heat treating facility and we specialize in the following processes:

  • Aging, Annealing
  • Hardening
  • Nitriding
  • Nitriding & Malcomizing of Stainless Steel
  • Stress Relieving

Today Evans Heat Treating is run by the Burnick family, Erika, Ryan & Bill Jr.
